BOURNEVILLE    74   V   DUNLOP     12 - League - Away
Dunlop travelled to the Birmingham University ground for this fixture with Bourneville who are currently unbeaten and 4th in the table with a game in hand. From the kick off Dunlop were immediately under intense pressure and fell behind to 2 well worked tries in the first 5 minutes and the trend continued to the half time whistle, with the home side running in 8 tries and converting 6 and a penalty to lead 55 - 0 at the break. In the second half Dunlop rallied and put on a fine display, defending extremely well on numerous occasions and collecting a well worked try early in the half, through James Reilly, converted by Craig McGrory.  The Dunlop lads showed character throughout the remainder of the game, never giving up and putting in some great tackles and support play, with good ball handling resulting in centre Richard Craner breaking through the line and crossing late in the half.  Dunlop's continued their spirited 2nd half performance and managed to halt the onslaught on the scoreboard. Bourneville however did  cross 3 times in the second half, converting 2.  Dunlop can now regroup and look forward to some mid / bottom of the table clashes against Bedworth !!! And hopefully pick up some much needed points.

BOURNEVILLE 3 (12)  v  DUNLOP 2  (14) - Friendly - Away

DUNLOP   19  v WALSALL    31 - League - Home
Both sides put in a fine display of rugby on a fine sunny day in October !!! Against another top of the table team Dunlop started well, however it was the visitors who were first on the scoreboard, picking up an early penalty. Dunlop replied with a Dave Weston try follwing another period of Dunlop pressure which resulted with him crashing through the defence to cross over under the posts, Craig McGrory converting 7 - 3.  Walsall asserted themselves late in first half injury time and ran in 2 converted tries before the half time whistle arrived to end the first half 7 - 17 and took a probably slightly undeserved lead.  In the second half Dunlop had some defending to do after having a player red carded and conceded a further 2 converted tries 7 - 31. The Dunlop players then raised their game once again and in the final quarter following some great passages of play with fast ball handling and good support scored a further two tries from craig Mcgrory and James reilly ending the game on a high but with the bitter pill of defeat 19 - 31. Another debut was given to young prop Liam Dyer who performed admirably at the seven man scrum time for the final fifteen minutes. A good all round performance by those who stayed on the pitch against a title chasing walsall team that is full of talent.

SUTTON COLDFIELD 82 v DUNLOP 14 - League - Away
Dunlop had another hard lesson to learn today. With the result running away from them in the final quarter. Sutton had built a half time lead and were stunned when Dunlop scored twice after the break through centre Craig McGrory and With the score at 33-14 after 60 minutes Dunlop had managed to haul themselves back into the game. However this stung the hosts and already champions elect into penetrating action. Dunlop with a man in the bin and tiring were torn apart with pace and skill as Sutton found holes and weaved their way to an 82 point haul scoring 40 points in the final 15 minutes. Not a lot more can be said other than well done to sutton coldfield and lets hope we can learn from todays lesson.
